Do The Domes have a front desk or on-site management?

No front desk. We are comcpletley self checkin. Check your messages from us in your booking app for directions and door code. However, your host family, Mark, Sharon and kids live on-site and can help with any issues you may have.

What is The Domes property and business address?

Do we have bathrooms and showers?

YES! All the modern comforts of home. A hot shower, flushing toilets and sinks in your private bathroom at the centrally located showerhouse for the Blue Mountain Domes and en-suite for the Canyon Rim Domes.

Can we have more than 2 people per dome?

Yes! All but dome 9 have beds and or air mattresses for up to 4 people.

Do you provide towels & toiletries?

We provide towels and toilet paper in all bathrooms, as well as soap and shampoo.

Do you provide bedding?

Yes! We provide all bedding including sheets, pillows and blankets.

What are our food options?

The town of Monticello is a five minute drive down the mountain road--just about 1.5 miles from our entrance. Doug's barbeque, High Desert Cafe, Gustavo's & Ja Roen Thai as well as a Subway. There is also a great little grocery store, "Blue Mountain Foods," in town. On-site, here is a shared picnic area for the Blue Mountain Domes with a barbeque, picnic tables and a propane fire pit. The Canyon Rim Domes have their own private picnic area including barbeque, picnic table and fire pit.

How far away is the entrance to the National Park?

60 minutes to Arches National Park, 45 to the Needles end of Canyonlands. 75 minutes to Mesa Verde. 1 hour and 25 minutes to Bears Ears. 1 hour 30 minutes to Four Corners.

What are the nearby airports?

  • CNY - Canyonlands Field, UT ( 75 minutes drive)

  • GJT - Grand Junction, CO (2 hour 30 mins drive)

  • SLC - Salt Lake City, UT (4 hour 30 mins drive)

  • CEZ - Cortez, CO (1 hour 10 mins drive)

  • DRO - Durango, CO (2 hour 10 mins drive)

What time is check in & out?

Check in is after 4 pm. We will provide you a access code for your Dome the day of arrival via a message in your booking platform's app. Feel free to show up whenever is best for you! Check out is by 11 am.

Is there electricity in the domes?

Absolutely! We are proud to provide reliable and renewable power through our 100% off grid electrical system. This is glamorous camping! There are outlets in the dome so you can charge up and enjoy the mini fridge and microwave. We do ask that you don’t use power hungry devices like electrical heaters as they can overwhelm our batteries.

Is the camp lit at night?

Yes, the parking lot & shower house for the Blue Mountain Domes have solar lights lighting them all night. The paths to the domes are lit by solar lights. The Canyon Rim domes have path lights as well. The view of the Milky Way Galaxy is stunning from our camp.

Can I lock the dome?

Absolutely, each dome door has an electronic doorlock with your individual code for your stay.

How safe is the camp?

Our staff is on site 24 hours a day. We are there to help make your glamping experience comfortable & safe. The staff make the rounds at the camp and help reinforce quiet hours after 10 pm

Are you pet friendly?

Yes, dogs & cats are welcome! We ask that they are kept on a leash and that you clean up after them. Also, if your pet sheds, please bring a sheet to cover the bed and furniture it may lay on.

How do payments and refunds work??

We do require payment in full on the date of booking to confirm your reservation. We offer a 100% refund if cancelled by 5 days prior to check in date. After this the full amount paid becomes non-refundable.

Are there fire pits outside each dome?

The Blue Mountain domes have a shared propand fire pit. The Canyon Rim domes each have a private one. Absolutely no wood burning fires are allowed per county requirements.

Is there wifi?

Very good WiFi. It wouldn’t be glamping without it. We regularly have YouTuber videographers working from our domes. However, we don't guarantee 100% uptime. We have had occasional outages.

Will my cell phone work at camp?

The quality of coverage varies by carrier. Verizion is best, AT&T also has reasonable coverage, but T-Mobile is spotty.

What should I pack?

Be sure to check the weather before arriving and pack accordingly for all weather conditions. You may want to bring quality hiking shoes, backpacks, water bottles and cell phone chargers. Don’t leave the house without wallet, keys, phone.

Can we park in front of our dome?

The Blue Mountain Domes have a shared parking lot with room for 3 cars nosed in on each side. It's just a short walk to your dome from there. The Canyon Rim Domes are very secluded with private drives and you can park right next to your dome!

Are the domes heated?

We have heaters in each dome that are easily capable of heating your dome to your desired preference.

Do the domes have air conditioning?

Also a must when glamping. You’re cool for coming to The Domes, so we’ll do our best to keep you cool. Each unit has its own evaporative cooler.

Do you have a pool or hot tub at the camp?

Is there a minimum stay?

There are instances where we have a minimum night stay. Most guests book multiple nights in order to ensure they are not rushed and can enjoy their domes fully including our dreamy beds, stunning views and our staff’s efforts to make you feel at home!

Are kids allowed? Do you have any cribs for a baby?

Absolutely! Our camp was designed with families in mind. There’s plenty of room to run and be free. We do have a pack ’n play available. Just let us know the morning of your arrival and we can have it ready for you!

Do you have quiet hours?

Yes, our staff is there to encourage quiet time after 10 pm and ask all guests to be respectful of others. Also please keep your music volume low at all times as other guests may have different musical preferences.
